A total of 20 new acts join the line-up for Nordic’s leading showcase festival and the full schedule is revealed.

The start of the Nordic festival season is just one month away and as the countdown to by:Larm begins, the festival today reveals the final 20 acts set to perform at the event. Nordic acts such as Coucheron, Cleo and Lorentz are joined by promising International acts GEoRGiA, Girl Band, Novelist and Visuals. The Norwegian hard rock and metal scene is represented by Dunderbeist, Einherjer and Execration. From established acts to the most exciting newcomers on the scene, spanning indie, rock, hip hop, folk and electronic music, by:Larm is the place to discover the finest names on the Nordic scene.

From March 4 to March 7, the very best of Nordic music scene will gather in the heart of Oslo for Norway’s premier music showcase festival by:Larm. With a diverse live program featuring over 100 artists, by:Larm introduces more established artists to an international audience as well as directing the spotlight towards new talents. For the first time ever in 2015, the festival will also showcase a selection of up-and-coming international artists. Acts already revealed for 2015 include Anna Of The North, Communions, Drippin, East India Youth, Gidge, Hinds, Karin Park, SOAK and many more. The final 20 acts revealed today are:

ALO WALA (DK)
Alo Wala features vocalist Shivani Ahlowalia and Danish tropical bass pioneers Copia Doble Systema. Live, Alo Wala deliver an explosive dance floor experience with a bass driven sound rooted in hip hop and beat music mixed with traditional Indian music, South-American rhythms and a range of global sounds and influences.

APOTHEK (NO)
Apothek is a collaborative project between Nils Martin Larsen and Morten Myklebust. The duo combine classic song writing with a genre-bending electronic sound. 2015 sees the release of their new material and their first headline shows as Apothek.

CLEO & BROKE ‘N TIPSY (SE)
Cleo is one of the most respected and well-known rappers in Sweden. With 10 years in the game, several famous collaborations, one solo album and a price nominated EP, she is about to take over the scene.

COUCHERON (NO)
Norwegian artist Coucheron was handpicked as a Spotify Spotlight Artist for 2015 and named one of the biggest talents in the music industry. The first single from debut EP Playground, “Deep End” featuring Eastside and Mayer Hawthorne on vocals, shows just a glimpse of the electronic delights what we can look forward to from this talented act.

DUNDERBEIST (NO)
During their 7 years as an active band, Dunderbeist have released six albums and gained a solid reputation as one of Norway’s best live bands, performing at Norwegian festivals, such as by:Larm, Øyafestivalen and Inferno Metal Festival, as well as major European festivals like Wacken Open Air and Graspop. The new album “Hyklere” will be out on Indie Recordings on March 2nd 2015.

EINHERJER (NO)
“Beautiful, atmospheric and epic“. Viking metal with a dark mystical flavor of their Norwegian, heathen roots. These are terms often associated with Einherjer’s music. Einherjer has been a one of the very first bands to incorporate Norse Mythology in Metal, and are considered one of the founders of the Viking Metal genre.

EXECRATION (NO)
On their third full-length album, Norwegian experimental death metal band Execration take a step forward and to the left, incorporating new elements to their sound, spanning a wide set of genres, from black to heavy metal. Refining their already unique take on doomy, atmospheric death metal, and throwing in a multitude of refreshing twists and turns, Morbid Dimensions is the document of a band carving out their very own niche.

GEoRGiA (UK)
GEoRGiA is the moniker of London-based producer and multi-instrumentalist, Georgia Barnes. Her debut EP ‘Come In’ – written and recorded entirely by herself in her home studio. GEoRGiA cut her teeth drumming with Kwes and can also be found playing with Kate Tempest, Micachu and the Shapes.

GIRL BAND (IR)
Girl Band is a four piece noise rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in late 2011, their influences range from bands such as Bad Brains, James Chance and the Contortions, Neu to minimal techno. Recently signed to Rough Trade Records, the band, whose live show is known for being loud, intense and energetic, will be releasing their debut album in 2015.

KJÆRT BARN (NO)
Kjært Barn does “black pop music”, sings in Norwegian, and is a part of the infamous NMG/G-Huset from Bergen. The sound is a dirty blend between the pure analog, acoustic world, and computer music. The debut album “Ikke La Lyset Ta Oss” is due to be released in mid 2015.

THE LAST HURRAH!! (NO)
The Last Hurrah!! is the lovechild project of HP Gundersen; guitarist, composer, arranger, producer and mentor for a vast number of musicians and singers from Bergen’s vibrant music scene. Now HP Gundersen has teamed up with sublime up and coming LA roots singer Maesa Pullman as his new partner in crime. Their quite brilliant new album will be released on Rune Grammofon in Norway in May.

LORENTZ (SE)
Responsible for the defining Swedish record of 2014 with “Kärlekslåtar”, a spellbinding 50 minutes of emotionally weighted hip hop, Lorentz is on his way to household name status in his native Sweden. Formerly of rap duo Lorentz & Sakarias, this year saw the young Stockholm resident go solo – releasing a flawless debut album that defies categorization and, although delivered entirely in Swedish, is entirely universal in its accessibility.

MARIBEL (NO)
Maribel released their highly praised debut album “Aesthetics” in 2009 and became one of the leading artists in the Oslo scene and part of what the media called a new shoegaze movement. Their third album is a heavy sample based album, ”An attempt to cross gritty 90s hip hop beats with 70s psychedelia and 80s pop”, says the band. It sounds intriguingly weird, yet strangely familiar. “Dirty/Clean” will be released in 2015 and new music will be showcased at by:Larm.

No. 4 (NO)
No. 4 released their debut single, “Lite Og Stort” in March 2014 after having been a band for “only” seven years. A popular live band, they are known for their funny, sad and honest lyrics. They also had the honor of opening the Norwegian Grammy show in January. Like the band would say themselves, “no reason to quit now”.

NOVELIST (UK)
At just 18 years old, Novelist has already established himself as the UK’s leading young grime artist. Not only has Novelist already been granted a place one the BBC’s coveted ‘Sound Of 2015’ list, but has also announced an imminent EP with XL Recordings – alongside trusted collaborator Mumdance. Having also recently been pictured working alongside Jamie XX at the XL studios, the rise and rise of Novelist is sure to continue apace throughout 2015.

OKAY KAYA (NO)
OKAY KAYA was born in New Jersey before moving to a peninsula outside of Oslo, Norway. Her music explores melancholy through melody and space. She lives in New York City.

SASHA SIEM (NO)
Anglo-Norwegian artist Sasha Siem has announced the release of her debut album, “Most Of The Boys”, which will be available through Blue Plum Records on March 2, 2015. The debut LP follows recent single “My Friend”, which saw her musical background collide colorfully with her appreciation of more contemporary artists such as Andrew Bird and PJ Harvey, giving way to a sold-out London single launch and praise from the likes of NME, Clash Magazine, Stereogum and Noisey, with additional support from XFM and BBC 6Music.

SAUROPOD (NO)
Sauropod is the result of mixing poetry with dirty, minimalistic rock and high-pitched screams with lovely melodies. Their music is packed with intense, enjoyable hooks, surprising musical references and lyrics that will make you shiver.

THEA HJELMELAND (NO)
From the deep Norwegian fjords comes Norwegian Grammy Award winner Thea Hjelmeland with her second solo album “Solar Plexus”, a rich and varied palette of folk pop intermixed with strong world music elements.

VISUALS (DE)
VISUALS is Andrew Fox. A veteran vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer from the Brooklyn scene, Fox began crafting the songs that would become VISUALS in late 2011. After the release of the self-titled debut EP (produced by Darkside) in October 2013, Fox left Brooklyn for Berlin and began to hone a hypnotic new sound, combining aspects of traditional songwriting and structure within a more electronic context.
