Where’s the Music? is a new event with two purposes, one obviously being the music where the aim is having new artists in focus presented to a curious and excited industry ready to get support new projects. The other being a comprehensive conference program exploring subjects related to the music industry.

With only one week left to the premiere of the Where’s the Music? showcase festival, the final conference participants are revealed. Anders Larsson founder and CEO of United Stage is confirmed for a keynote, with VICE’s Ricki Askin and 7 other new participants joining the panel programme.

United Stage
is the largest independent company in Nordic entertainment industry when it comes to representing Swedish artists today. In addition to the role as tour producer they also are in the artist management where they are one of Scandinavian’s leading companies. United Stage also sell our services to corporate events as well as running our own concert activities. They represent 160+ artists exclusively and yearly accomplish over 2000 artist performances.

Anders Larsson started the company together with three others in 1984. Today he’s the only one left of the original set up and still the largest owner and, as recently mentioned, CEO of the company. Two of the artist that he started working with, Wilmer X and Mikael Wiehe, still is with the company today after 30 years. Except Ander’s role as CEO he also represents artists such as Lars Winnerbäck, Kent, Melissa Horn, Timbuktu, Anna Ternheim, Mikael Wiehe and Johnossi. Anders started as a musician and to work with something else than music has never been an option for him.

Ricki Askin is the Head of Music Licensing and Archival for VICE Media, overseeing licensing across the company’s vast portfolio of digital sites, linear series, branded productions and VICE Films. Ricki is the Music Supervisor of the Emmy Award winning HBO news-magazine series “VICE” as well as VICE Films’ critically acclaimed 2013 feature documentary, “Reincarnated,” starring legendary hip-hop and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg.

Prior to joining the VICE family in early 2011, Ricki was a Music Supervisor within MTV’s News & Docs Department, contributing to popular shows like “Cribs,” “True Life,” “My Super Sweet 16” and “My Life as Liz.” Ricki graduated From Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania with a Major in Communication and a Minor in English.

Taking place in various public locations in the unique area called Industrilandskapet in the central of Norrköping, Where’s the Music? aims to be one of the most important meeting points for European music industry, where they can meet the Swedish industry and make great things together. The live music focus will be on Swedish artists, but there will also be room for international music, where visitors can discover the stars and sound of tomorrow. Sweden is the world’s most successful exporter of chart music, in relation to GDP. From ABBA to Swedish House Mafia and Robyn, via Roxette and The Cardigans there always seems to be at least one Swedish act at the top.

Where’s the Music will take place in Norrköping, Sweden from 12-14 February. In total, there will be 150 artists performing at 11 different venues, during the 3 day event. A delegate’s ticket to Where’s the Music is SEK 3500 and can be purchased here: www.wheresthemusic.se/en/music/festival-tickets/
