The brand new app will be modelled on the musical creativity of live artist and producer Marc Houle of the label Items & Things. The new collaboration may come as little surprise to those who know Marc and his passion for embracing new technology and his forward-thinking approach to music production.

The brand new a mobile app product is designed to virtually situate the user behind the soundboard. A total of seven featured songs including early releases: Bay of Figs, Edamame, On it, Porch and Triple E, plus two brand new titles from the Undercover album, Undercover and Mooder, will allow app users to formatively remix their favorite classics. Whether it is launching loops in tight sync and using disorientating reverb and twisted, pitched tape delays to transform the sound or bringing in bits from other tracks, the unique matrix-balanced mastering process delivers an authentic straight-off-the-record sound. Once the user has mastered their remix, they are able to share their version with friends on Facebook, Soundcloud and Twitter at the touch of a button.

The three founders of Items & Things – Marc Houle, Magda and Troy Pierce – are big admirers of Liine and their ability to connect with and understand the music community. Liine’s innovative work has seen them work with Plastikman, Björk, Avril Lavigne, Kanye West and Bon Iver – just a few of Liine’s high profile users who have highly rated their products parallel to other users, generating an average of 4.6 stars (out of five) on iTunes App Store.
