“A deep and intriguing record that has moments of stark emotional honesty, intricate melodic lines and instrumentation that interweaves with delicate poignancy.” – The Line of Best Fit

Gifted with a rough but indelibly enduring vocal which sits somewhere within the realm of Waxahatchee’s solemn calling, Nigro’s songs are full of heart and fiery passion, the kind of voice that eclipses all around it. – Gold Flake Paint

Following her debut at Primevara Sound and a recent release of a new LP ‘Two, Geography’ Milan-based artist Adele Nigro is bringing her emotive leftfield project Any Other to the UK audiences with a 7-date tour across the country, including a show at London’s Shacklewell Arms on 23rd October 2018.

Released in September 2018 on an Italian indie label 42 Records, ‘Two, Geography’ comes three years after Any Other’s debut ‘Silently. Quietly. Going Away’. While her debut album was heavily influenced by ‘90s indie, with a robust power trio sound, her second is a much more mature, complex and original undertaking. Adele writes, sings, plays, produces and arranges all of her songs, which bear the traces of several different influences, from the American indie-folk of Phil Elvrum (The Microphones, Mount Eerie) to the guitar work of Jim O’Rourke and David Grubbs, spiritual free jazz and orchestral arrangements as well as classic songwriting by Carole King and Joni Mitchell, all filtered through a thoroughly contemporary sensibility.

The lyrics of ‘Two, Geography’ are an emotionally raw, disarmingly honest journey through the rites of passage that mark the beginning of adulthood: growing up, breaking up, learning to cope, all the things that make one’s twenties the blinding, white-hot experience that people tend to go back to in their minds for the rest of their lives.

Rolling Stone Italy named Adele Nigro “Best Italian female musician’ and ‘Two, Geography’ has received praise across the continent from the likes of Radio Eins (DE), Byte FM (DE), The Line of Best Fit (UK) and Gold Flake Paint (UK).
