Berlin-Festival

Berlin Festival

From 2010 – 2013, Berlin Festival took place at the historic Tempelhof Airport in Berlin, welcoming many of the biggest names in electronic and indie music to perform in the location’s giant former airplane hangars.

Following several years successful work on sister event Melt! Festival, Global Publicity was selected to head up worldwide PR for the launch of Berlin Festival in 2010. The launch of the event was a huge success, attracting a large proportion of overseas visitors to the debut edition and generating global press coverage across print, online and broadcast media. Over the next four years we helped to build the profile and credibility of the festival internationally, growing the share of international attendees year on year. Our international press campaign grabbed the attention of media from all around the world, with particular success in the UK, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Sweden and the US. As Berlin’s reputation as a party city grew, so did the reputation of the festival with coverage from respected US titles like Billboard, CNN, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Filter and the Wall Street Journal all reporting on the event. UK and European media also followed suit with coverage from media including The Guardian, The Independent, El Pais, Le Monde, Clash, Crack, DUMMY, FACT, Conde Nast Traveller, ELLE, Vogue, The Quietus, WIRED, Vanity Fair, Glamour, GQ, GAFFA, Rumore, Hello Magazine, Sound Venue and many, many more.
