The Garden Festival today reveals the complete lineup for its tenth and final edition this summer in Tisno. What began in 2006 has become one of the world’s most revered electronic music events, a sublime blend of holiday and festival under the sizzling sun and star-lit skies.
The seminal event, which first founded and has since helped to inspire the whole burgeoning Croatian festival scene, announced 2015 would be its last year. Now with its finest ever lineup fully curated in a fitting tribute to everything the team have achieved, the scene is set for a beautiful conclusion to The Garden Festival’s Adriatic journey.
The latest headliners revealed join an already incredible cast of artists. Since making his debut at The Garden Festival two years ago, Eats Everything has firmly become one of its favourite guests. The Edible label boss always delivers, and as a pure adrenalin headliner he doesn’t get much bigger. Warp’s Nightmares on Wax performs live, the iconic producer blending original acid with ‘80s Balearica to mesmerizing effect, perfect for balmy Main Stage action. Jackmaster makes his long-awaited Garden debut; the Numbers co-founder dedicates himself to unearthing old gems to incorporate into his eclectic sets, always bringing something unexpected to the party. Optimo – aka DJ duo Twitch and Jonnie Wilkes – who fuse techno, electro, rock and leftfield sounds into their sets, also make their debut; their name is synonymous with pulsating dance floor mayhem. Talaboman, the studio and now dance floor partnership of John Talabot and Axel Boman will also perform. King of the airways, Beats In Space founder Tim Sweeney also returns to Tisno; fellow regular Darshan Jesrani also makes a very welcome return, with Germany’s Gerd Janson bringing exquisite house and disco cuts. Paranoid London (live) also perform, fresh from the success of their brilliant debut eponymous album released in December.
They all join the already revealed stellar guests, including DJ Harvey, Bonobo, Seth Troxler, Joy Orbison, Ben UFO, Midland, Craig Richards, Greg Wilson, Crazy P (live) and Psychemagik.
There will be over 100 artists performing at the festival; Garden legends PBR Streetgang, Brawther, Leon Vynehall, Mark E, Waifs and Strays and Outboxx (live) also join the party as further new announcements, along with A Sagittariun (live), Adam Shelton, Anthony Mansfield, Axel Boman, Christophe, DJ Nature, Dungeon Meat, Eddy Ramich, Eric Duncan, Fantastic Man, Felix Dickinson, Francis Inferno Orchestra, Frits Wentink, Futureboogie, Galen, Gatto Fritto, Ilija Rudman, Job Jobse, John Talabot, Jonny Nash (live), Justin Vandervolgen, Krankbrother, Lauer, Lee Douglas, Lexx, Lovefingers, Lukas, M3, Mark Barrott, Mark Seven, Maxxi Soundsystem, Mudd, Nick The Record, Paranoid London (live), Peak and Swift, Pete Herbert, Phil Mison, Phil South, Session Victim (live), Shiny Objects, Solar, Studio Barnhus, Subb-An, Telephones, Tornado Wallace and Young Marco all now revealed.
Nick Colgan, one of the festival’s co-founders, explains that: “We have called the final festival “Going Out With A Bang”, and that is exactly what the lineup is all about! I think this is the best we have ever booked really, so it all feels extra special and perfect for The Garden Festival’s final year – and huge credit to Dave Harvey for getting everyone together! There are some amazing debuts to look forward to, and also some of the regulars who over the years have helped shaped the festival into what it is now are back. It is going to be a very emotional time for everyone – and it is looking like everyone who has ever been to The Garden is coming back one last time! We have always been about family here, bringing everyone together each year, sharing the fun and adventure, and I can’t wait until the summer. We are genuinely humbled by the reaction to this being the last Garden Festival, the response has been fantastic. It is going to be a magical finale!”
Legendary boat parties across the dazzling Adriatic, dancing under the sun and stars at the main stage and the incredible water-side Beach Bar, partying by the trees at the new Olive Grove Stage to watching the sun come up at dawn in Barbarella’s Discotheque are all part of a truly unique experience. Boutique accommodation, luxury Shikar tents, apartments and villas are both on The Garden Tisno site and spread around the town, along with many fine restaurants and bars. The stunning Dalmatian region offers a wealth of fun and adventure, with secluded beaches, the historic cities of Zadar and Split and many breath-taking islands to explore.
The Garden Festival’s legacy will long live on, with a continuing bloom at The Garden Tisno into 2016 and beyond from a season of festivals and events both already established and tantalisingly new.
