The Music Moves Europe Awards (MME Awards) will mark the closing of its 2026 edition at Reeperbahn Festival on Friday, 18 September, bringing together artists, music professionals and fans to celebrate this year’s participating artists and the next generation of European music.
The MME Awards 2026 closing event takes place at 25 Club from 14:00, hosted by German radio presenter Diona Bathily of FluxFM. European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport Glenn Micallef will join as a special guest.
The event features live performances by three artists from the 2026 edition: MME Awards 2026 winner Della, alongside nominees Glazyhaze and Ditter.

MME Awards 2027 nominees to be announced in Riga
The MME Awards are the European Union’s annual prize celebrating Europe’s most exciting emerging artists. Previous winners and nominees include Zaho de Sagazan, Stromae, ROSALÍA, Dua Lipa, girl in red and Hozier.
The next generation of artists is already on its way: the MME Awards 2027 nominees will be announced on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, during Riga Music Week in Latvia. The winners of the MME Awards 2027 will then be announced on Thursday, 14 January 2027 during ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) in Groningen, the Netherlands.
The MME Awards are organised by ESNS and Reeperbahn Festival, with the support of European music organisations including Liveurope, Yourope, Live DMA, IMPALA, DME, ICMP, IMMF, EMMA and EMEE.
