Finally, a new showcase/conference festival in Sweden for the international music industry that will show off what Sweden is best known for – great music! Here’s the latest 3 additions…
HARDCORE SUPERSTAR
Hardcore superstar combines trash metal and sleaze rock to a unique sound. The songs are sometimes tough and aggressive but with catchy melodies. With their last tour Dark Decadence Tour they sold out shows at big venues for example Lisebergshallen in Gothenburg and Cirkus in Stockholm.
The breakthrough album Bad Sneakers and a Pina Colada from 2000 contains track like Liberation, Have You Been around and the hit-single Someone Special. They have been supporting Motörhead on their Scandinavian Tour and had the honor to open for AC/DC at their sold out shot at Ullevi. Their sixth album, Split Your Lip, was released 2010. Moonshine, the first release from the album, went platinum and became a huge hit.
Ikväll är vi kungar/Tonight we’re Kings
This spring the Swedish hip hop-elite gather for sequel to last year’s big success “Ikväll är vi kungar”. Petter, Ison & Fille, DJ Sleepy and DJ Taro are joined by Lilla Namo, Rosh and singer Blen. The national tour launch with the tour premiere at Where’s the music! It’s going to be a concert packed with some of the nation most awesome rappers performing Swedish hip hop-classics.
The new constellation has been contributing on each other songs for a long time. Petter and Ison & Fille worked together with the track “Håller det hårt” already back in 2004, Lilla Namo supported at the track “King”, Rosh made a name for herself with the Ison & Fille-track “New Shit” and Blen is a vocalist at the single from Lilla Namo named “Min”. During the tour they will perform each other’s tracks, both some of the biggest hiphop-hits and new versions of old and current favorites.
MOVITS!
You probably already know the story about the Swedish jazz trio that ended up at an American talk show and suddenly had released an international monster that have kept them in movement in Europe and USA since. Nowadays, when Movits! have released additional two awesome albums, what happened make perfect sense. But there and then it was a sensational happening – a Swedish-speaking trio that, armed with swing hits, conquered the USA and reached the number one at the American iTunes-chart in no time. Movits! Have toured more or less the whole time after releasing the debut album. This unfortunately resulted in little time to record new work. But last year the third much awaited album, Huvudet bland molnen, was released.

Where’s the Music? is new an event with two purposes, one obviously being the music where the aim is having new artists in focus presented to a curious and excited industry ready to get support new projects. The other being a comprehensive conference program exploring subjects related to the music industry.
The festival will include artist performances as well as lectures presented by people in the music industry, sharing their stories and experiences. The combination will make a platform for networking, where the national and international music industry will exchange experiences and ideas, discover new artists and find new collaborations through networking.
Taking place in various public locations in the unique area called Industrilandskapet in the central of Norrköping, Where’s the Music? aims to be one of the most important meeting points for European music industry, where they can meet the Swedish industry and make great things together. The live music focus will be on Swedish artists, but there will also be room for international music, where visitors can discover the stars and sound of tomorrow.
