Brighton Music Conference (BMC), the UK’s foremost electronic music and networking event is excited to be the first music industry conference to take place in 2020, uniting the electronic music industry to collaborate, inspire and find solutions to support businesses during the pandemic. Taking place from 1st to 2nd October, the award-winning event will return to the prestigious British Airways i360 venue on Brighton’s beachfront for its seventh edition with the addition of a new ‘online virtual pass’ to access the conference online in partnership with Beatport.

In order to comply with the new guidelines both venue & theatre capacity has been reduced accordingly and the team have been working hard to finalise the updated BMC programme to maintain the high level of panels and talks, with key industry speakers. The beachfront complex will host three theatres featuring in-depth discussions and debates on the biggest issues facing the electronic and wider music industry such as ‘the new normal’, diversity, mental health, streaming, the environment and current music and business trends. The Label Lounge A&R Sessions also returns for its second year at BMC, partnering with the Association of Independent Music.

The electronic music industry has been one of the hardest hit by the Coronavirus Crisis, and it’s important that networking/information-sharing events such as BMC are held — in a safe way — in order for the industry to work together and seek solutions to emerge out the other side.”
Carl Loben, DJ Mag Editor

“We support BMC in its decision to move the conference back to the 1st/2nd October 2020, adhering to the safety measures in line with Government Regulations, with a focus on ensuring the event can take place in a safe environment, Brighton Music Conference is one of the shining lights of the music industry, its commitment to industry education, technology and talent has stood testament to its growth and success over the last 7 years” – Michael Kill, CEO NTIA

“Brighton Music Conference is set to run at the start of October and will be the first physical electronic music conference in many months. From discussions with the organisers, they are planning an inspiring educational event with robust safety standards for the industry to share knowledge and know-how to build a positive future for the scene.” – Greg Marshall, AFEM General Manager

“The news that BMC is going ahead in October is a much-needed boost for the electronic music industry. Finally, a chance to come together in-person to network while knowing our safety is being taken seriously. We can start talking, paving the way for solutions.
