Free open air stage at Eurosonic Noorderslag!
Eurosonic Air is a free open air music stage in the main square of Grongingen city centre, which helps promote new acts to a wider audience. Launched in 2011 the stage has grown in popularity attracting over 6000 music fans who missed out on tickets for Eurosonic Noorderslag, which sold out within hours of going onsale. Added to Noorderslag are: Katadreuffe (nl), MC Fit (nl), Mr Probz (nl), Sandra van Nieuwland (nl), The Silverfaces (nl), Nigel & Thom (nl).
Tickets and Delegate Registrations:
Festival tickets sold out within hours of going onsale. Delegate passes are still available for the conference. The late registration is available until the 12th December for 315 Euros, then the price increases to 380 Euros which is the walk up rate. The Eurosonic Noorderslag conference is all about creating an experience. On one hand, the programming provides in depth information and discussion. On the other hand, the conference will touch on lighter subjects and provide the delegates with occasions to relax and have fun.
Ray Cokes Revue
Ray Cokes journeys back to Groningen for two special showcases featuring Dutch and international artists. In previous shows Ray welcomed guests including Foxes, Ewert and the Two Dragons, Triggerfinger and Blaudzun. Ray Cokes changed the face of television in the 90’s with his innovative live show on MTV – Most Wanted. Since then, he has shared his passion for a good tune through various live music shows on Belgian, French and German TV. Ray Cokes host two shows, Saturday afternoon at Grand Theatre.
Barbershop
On Thursday and Friday delegates can get a clean shave or new haircut by the fellows of Schorem Haarsnijder & Barbier, an old school barbershop specialized in traditional haircuts and hot towel straight razor shaves. The barbershop will be a place to relax, proving a vintage atmosphere while enjoying genuine craftsmanship. On Saturday night the Barbershop will provide its services to the festival audience during Noorderslag. Watch this video to get a feel of Schorem Haarsnijder & Barbier.
European Festival Awards
Finalists in the European Festival Awards will be announced in early December. Over 300 festivals from 34 European countries took part in 2013, with more than 600,000 votes being cast from all over the world. Festival Awards is delighted to be the opening event of Eurosonic Noorderslag. Tickets are selling fast. Table Football Tournament
Looking for some fun and action? Join us for the second edition of the Eurosonic Noorderslag Table Football Tournament. During seminar breaks delegates can impress the audience in the Buma Stemra Lounge with their football skills and enthusiasm. Although fun is the core ingredient of this tournament, the winners will take home the cup.
