Isle of Dreams Switzerland moves to new location in Basel

Located at the crossroads of borders with France, Switzerland and Germany, Basel is the perfect location to make the festival more accessible, to more electronic music fans.

• Electronic music festival from August 08 – 10 at the St. Jakob open air venue (hall and camping on the premises) in Basel, Münchenstein
• Exclusive open air with international top acts, such as Avicii, David Guetta and Calvin Harris

Due to the major international resonance and responding to the fans’ request, the 3 day electronic open air music festival “Isle Of Dreams” – inspired by Ibiza’s music and culture and headlined by world-famous top DJs – is being transferred from Gunzgen to Basel.  From August 08 – 10, “Isle Of Dreams” will present a gigantic line-up at the St. Jakob open air venue, including world stars of the electronic music scene such as Avicii, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Ingrosso, Afrojack, Above & Beyond, Alesso, JP Candela, Zedd and many more. The artists will perform on the “Isle Of Dreams” stage as well as on a second stage, hosted by the labels Cocoon, Paradise and Sankeys respectively on each of the three days.

As a matter of course, tickets purchased for the music event that had originally been planned at Gunzgen remain valid or, if desired, can be refunded. VIP ticket sale will start soon. Regular festival tickets that have already been purchased can be upgraded into VIP tickets against extra charge.

By moving to the new location, the organizers of the „Isle Of Dreams“ festival have responded to the immense public interest and the fans’ request for easy access and better local infrastructure. The St. Jakob open air venue provides suitable infrastructure for a festival of these dimensions. The premises comprise an open air stage, a camping village and various halls to accommodate 2 000 to 9 000 persons. Being situated at only a 30-minute distance from the airport and train station, the venue can be easily reached by festival visitors. Sufficient hotels and parking spaces are available within close vicinity.  Currently, a huge camping site is under construction so that by the time the electronic music festival starts, overnight accommodation for everybody will be guaranteed.
In three countries, „Isle Of Dreams“ will be the highlight of the summer in Europe’s electro scene, each of the festivals lasting three days. In Turkey (August 05 – 07), Israel (August 07 – 09) and Switzerland (August 08 – 10), fans and music lovers celebrate their very personal pleasures, inspired by the unique spirit of Ibiza – nature, music and collective partying.
