One of the most influential motivational speakers in the world, Nick Vujičić, will make a speech in front of the tens of thousands of people gathered at the globally acclaimed EXIT Festival in Serbia on Thursday, July 6. Vujicic, whose speeches inspire millions of people worldwide, will address the world leaders in appeal to join efforts and preserve the planet’s endengered enviroment. The whole event will be broadcasted live from the colossal Petrovaradin Fortress where EXIT festival is held for almost two decades. He will be joined by the Aaron Turgeon, representative of the Standing Rock movement, founded by remaining members of The Sioux tribe, from the reservation of the same name. The movement came into the international spotlight after they peacefully protested, blocked the works for several months, and, last winter, finally managed to stop the construction of the oil pipeline in North Dakota, which threatened to destroy the entire ecosystem on their land! The movement reached its peak when the oil company’s private security attempted to violently repel the peaceful protesters, which prompted 2000 US Army veterans to create a human shield around the tribe. Immediately after that, the world witnessed a historic scene, when the veterans, in the name of their ancestors, asked for and received pardon from the tribe leaders for all the injustice against Native Americans.

Both Vujicic and Turgeon will call for world unity in a joint effort to preserve the life on Earth at the festival’s openning on Main Stage. As the only still existing major festival that was founded from the peaceful protests and social activism, EXIT is marking a 50th anniversary of the original Summer of Love in 1967 when the revolutionary hippie movement changed the world standing for peace, enviroment, freedom of speech, human rights, and social, racial, and gender equality. Vujičić and Turgeon will also participate in the global panel discussion “The 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love – has the world gone astray?”. It will take place on Wednesday, July 5 and their host will be Dušan Kovačević, the founder of the EXIT Festival. Via live stream, the panel will be available worldwide, and will be streamed accross numerous media globally and social networks of prominent public figures.

Nick Vujičić was born without the extremities, but he accepted his deficiency, and took up the discrimination of his peers and all the difficulties as a challenge rather than as a problem. It became his mission to talk to others about the strength of one’s will and the positive attitude which can help us solve problems. Therefore, his main message is that any circumstance in which a person finds themselves can be overcome. Nick dedicated his entire life to motivational messages, became a media star and a global role model. So far, he has shared his experience with 6.5 million people in 63 countries worldwide, and he gave advice to 16 presidents and 9 governments. Nick Vujičić’s books are bestsellers which are sold in millions of copies, which change lives, and performances of this motivational speaker are unforgettable experiences for everybody who had an opportunity to listen to him.

Another inspirational story is the story of hip hop artist Aaron Turgeon, better known by his stage name Prolific the Rapper. He is a representative of the Standing Rock movement and The Sioux tribe, whose life mission is to fight for their living space. They grouped in protests against Dakota Access Pipeline project in the United States of America, which envisaged laying oil pipes across the holy territories of the Native Americans and the Missouri River, their main source of drinking water. Standing Rock is not just a movement for the Sioux homeland, it represents a fight for the rights to live free and preserve the environment greedily destroyed all around the world by corporations which value profit above everything else.
