Annual international platform for hip-hop, bass and beats returns to the Melkweg on ADE’s Friday.
Scottish electronic music pioneer Hudson Mohawke, groundbreaking L.A. collective Soulection, Grammy Award winner Om’mas Keith, Dutch MC’s Sevn Alias and Hef and many more are among the first speakers announced for this years ADE Beats, the annual platform at ADE to network and connect with the international hip-hop, bass and beats community.
Hudson Mohawke Q&A
Hudson Mohawke (Warp Records, G.O.O.D. Music, TNGHT and so much more) is coming over to ADE Beats for a special Q&A on his career and will discuss his on-going pioneering role in electronic music across the board, his longstanding link with electronic music scenes in The Netherlands, the Glasgow scene he grew up in, the many international artists he has collaborated with and more.
The New LA
ADE Beats presents legendary producer Om’mas Keith (Frank Ocean, Watch The Throne, Sa-Ra and much more) and the ground-breaking and innovative Soulection’s Joe Kay, The Whooligan and SoSuperSam and others in The New LA, an interactive discussion on the exciting LA music scene that has flourished so much the past years. ADE Beats will also screen a documentary on Keith’s life called Across The Board – From Hollis To Hollywood – featuring many of his artistic collaborators including Erykah Badu, Thundercat, Ty Dolla $ign, Frank Ocean, John Legend and Kali Uchis.
Q&A Hevn / Noisey Presents: Goudkoorts
For its national program ADE Beats announces its interactive Q&A Hevn, with Dutch veteran mc Hef and young sensation Sevn Alias interviewing eachother on their careers. And Noisey presents: Goudkoorts, a lively talk show on the rapid growth and many opportunities within the Dutch scene, with national Spotify playlist editor and creator Dieuwertje Heuvelings, Cloud 9’s Pieter van Bodegraven and Mohamed Fouradi, Rotterdam Airlines’ Solomon Kifle and Luciano Winter, Bravoure’s Gaetan van de Sande, Top Notch’s Farid Benmbarek and many others.
