The inaugural ADE Tech takes place at this years Amsterdam Dance Event.
The 2-day event, from 17-18 September at the Chicago Social Club, will feature Tumblr’s head of outreach and music strategy Nate Auerbach, 8Track’s David Porter, Nikhil Shah of Mixcloud, Brad Hunstable from Ustream and Ian Hogarth of Songkick.
Cambridge graduate Hogarth founded Songkick seven years ago with the aim of making the business of being a fan as pleasant and as uncomplicated as possible. Songkick works by indexing multiple ticket vendors, venue websites, and local newspapers to create the most comprehensive database of upcoming concerts happening around the world.
David Porter spent six years at Live365, a pioneer in user-programmed internet radio, before founding 8Tracks, which offers a simple way for people to share and discover music through an online mix, in the form of a short playlist containing at least eight tracks.
Mixcloud co-founder Nikhil Shah heads up business development and commercial strategy at the online radio platform.Mixcloud is in the rare position of not having taken equity investment as a startup, with the company initially funded by the founders, and adopting the “lean startup” approach. Today it is wholly owned and operated by the team.
Brad Hunstable founded Ustream five years ago with the aim of making live broadcast technology available to the whole world. The company has since established itself as the leading live, SAAS video platform, with Hunstable being ranked among 50 “Digital Power Players” by the Hollywood Reporter and also being included on Variety’s Producers Guild of America’s Digital 25: Visionaries, Innovators and Producers list for his work at Ustream.
