ADE2013 - Mary Go WildIn 1988, house music exploded in The Netherlands. Since those days of exploring and pioneering, the Dutch are now one of the world’s leaders in dance music, dj’s and events. At this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event the celebration of this milestone will play a big part in the program.

Exhibitions

Cleo Campert: After
Cleo Campert took her camera to the early house parties at the famous illustrious club RoXY and (illegal) warehouse raves in Amsterdam. In the 90’s she developed as The Netherlands’ number one dance scene photographer. During ADE she will expose her work on several locations in Amsterdam’s red light district, focusing on a subject that fits the neighbourhood: after parties.

Museum Square
At the wonderful Museum Square (known for the Van Gogh Museum and the Dutch National Museum) in the city centre a massive outdoor gallery will be exposed. It contains spectacular historic photos by the Netherlands’ finest party photographers. More still to be confirmed.

Conference
At the ADE’s Conference there will be a series of panels organized within the theme 25 years of dance in the Netherlands. More information soon available.
