Arcade Fire and Foals are announced to headline Bilbao BBK Live 2016

Bilbao BBK Live are proud to expand on their 2016 line-up, welcoming Arcade Fire for an exclusive festival performance, one of only two European dates the Canadian band will play this year! British five piece Foals also headline, bolstering an already impressive bill that features acts including Pixies, M83, New Order, Hot Chip, Years & Years, Courtney Barnett and Wolf Alice.

Since their inception in 2001, Canada’s Arcade Fire have established themselves as true outsider champions. Straddling genres from dark, baroque pop and art rock through to modern disco and having worked with a cast of collaborators including LCD Soundsystem mastermind James Murphy and the late, great David Bowie, there isn’t another band on the earth quite like them. The group’s incredible, multi-instrumental live show is sure to take festival goers on an amazing journey as they step up to headline Bilbao BBK Live as one of only two European shows in 2016.

From debut LP Antidotes through to last year’s storming fourth album What Went Down, Foals are a band who have gone from strength to strength. Having established themselves as one of the world’s most incendiary live acts and graduated from small club shows to bonafide main stage stars, the electrifying rock quintet are not to be missed when they grace the stage of this year's Bilbao BBK Live.

Years & Years, Wolf Alice and Hola A Todo El Mundo announced for Bilbao BBK Live 2016

Returning to the picturesque Basque Country for the 11th year running, Bilbao BBK Live will welcome 40,000 revellers to the area for a weekend of amazing music. Held from the 7 - 9 July, the festival brings an unparalleled lineup together with the jaw-dropping backdrop of green mountains and stunning views of the city.

Today the festival proudly expands on the lineup for this year with Years & Years, Wolf Alice and Hola A Todo El Mundo joining the already announced Pixies, New Order, M83, Hot Chip, Jose Gonzalez, Father John Misty, Courtney Barnett and We Are Standard.

Kicking off the year winning the coveted BBC Sound Of Award, 2015 was certainly a landmark 12 months for Years & Years. Their highly-anticipated debut album ‘Communion’ went straight in at number one on the UK Album Charts and has shifted over 650,000 copies worldwide thanks to chart smashing hits like ‘King’ and ‘Shine’. Their anthemic and dance-worthy electropop is not to be missed this year at Bilbao BBK Live.

Grammy nominated, critically acclaimed indie rockers Wolf Alice roared into the public eye last year with their debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’. Playing huge festival slots and headline tours culminating in a sold out show at London’s prestigious Brixton Academy, the four piece have gathered legions of loyal and devoted fans worldwide. Led by striking frontperson Ellie Rowsell, the band are without question one of the UK’s most vital talents and are sure to provide one of the standout sets of the festival.

Hailing from Madrid, alternative quartet Hola A Todo El Mundo create a musically diverse mix of folk and pop to striking effect. Having evolved throughout their career and with a new album on the way this year, the band’s brilliantly vibrant, multi-instrumental live show will provide a perfect festival moment.
