Dutch Acts coming to The Great Escape

The Dutch Impact Party will once again return to The Great Escape Festival, taking place on Friday May 10th in Komedia (Main). The Dutch Music Export is a longstanding partner at The Great Escape festival, since year one the Dutch Impact party has been a highlight in the convention programme and Dutch artists have provided festival goers with many incredible and memorable performances from artists such as, Amber Arcades, Dope D.O.D, Jacco Gardner, Klangstof. and Pip Blom. This year, four of the most promising new up and coming Dutch artists from the Dutch underground music scene will take the stage.

Hailing from the port city of Rotterdam, Lewsberg’s nihilistic rock poetry is reminiscent of college rock tradition in the manner of Modern Lovers, Talking Heads and Velvet Underground. Their recent self-titled LP triumphed across the UK media, with top reviews from tastemakers like Gigwise and The Line of Best Fit. Last Januari Dutch EUT were most recommended by the media  at ESNS 2019. This year, EUT are taking their youthful 90s flavoured post pop to Brighton. Describing themselves as “trippy electro hiphop lovebaby”, FATA BOOM is a collaborative project of two Dutch artists whose recent debut LP and flamboyant shows prompted comparisons to the likes of M.I.A., Die Antwoord and Gnucci. Capturing hearts with their impressive live shows The Visual’s sound moves between dark romantic balladry and sweeping experimentalism. With a recent album release mixed by Grammy Award winning Darrell Thorp and acclaim from the likes of Noisey, Clash and BBC Radio 6 Music this is a band to watch in 2019.

This partnership is made possible by the coming together of Dutch Music Export, powered by Eurosonic Noorderslag, Dutch Performing Arts and Buma Cultuur, with the kind support by the embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands.

Meet a new generation of Italian artists at The Great Escape.

Italy has a new generation of young and talented musicians redefining what Italian music means within the international music scene. Already known for its fashion sense, cultural monuments, beautiful landscapes and art, Italy's music scene is now gaining global recognition. Ready to make their mark on this year's Great Escape are 5 artists covering a diverse range of genres from emotive introspective rock and shoegaze to riotous exuberant indie-pop and post-punk.  These acts should be on your radar for 2019.

Already making waves is Any Other, whose recent LP and international shows have been gathering praise from the likes of The 405, The Line of Best Fit and Eclat Magazine. Italian Rolling Stone boldly called her “Best Italian female musician” proclaiming that her brand of emotive introspective rock would ignite the Italian scene. Italian shoegazers Be Forest make music that harbours feelings of intense otherworldly remoteness reminiscent of 4AD classics described by BrooklynVegan as "...gorgeous, ethereal and moody “Bengala” that has some serious Slowdive vibes." Giungla has already impressed tastemakers with her riotous exuberant indie-pop and shared stages with likes of The xx, Foals, Grimes and Battles with support from Lauren Laverne on 6 Music. Malihini are ones to watch having recently been signed to the Memphis Industries label and featured in Loud & Quiet, Clash and Stereogum to name a few. Finally is The Pier who are no strangers to international showcases having already played at Reeperbahn, Waves Vienna and ESNS. Back home in the south of Italy, their special brand of punk-infused math rock has catapulted them to the main festival stages and secured excited critical reception.  Be Forest and Giungla alsoboth played at SXSW in Austin, Texas last month.

More about The Artists

Any Other
Following the release of her latest LP “Two, Geography”’, Milan-based artist Adele Nigro is ready to take her emotive leftfield project Any Other to the next level. Adele writes, sings, plays, produces and arranges all of her songs, which bear the traces of several different influences, from the American indie-folk of Phil Elvrum (The Microphones, Mount Eerie) to the guitar work of Jim O’Rourke and David Grubbs, spiritual free jazz and orchestral arrangements as well as classic songwriting by Carole King and Joni Mitchell, all filtered through a thoroughly contemporary sensibility. Any Other also played Reeperbahn 2018 and ESNS 2019.

Be Forest
Hailing from a small town on the Adriatic coast, Italian shoegazers Be Forest (Erica Terenzi, Costanza Delle Rose and Nicola Lampredi) make music that harbours feelings of intense otherworldly remoteness reminiscent of 4AD classics as well as bands like Slowdive, Pale Saints and The Chameleons. Described by Brooklyn Vegan as “gorgeous, ethereal and moody”, Be Forest’s latest LP Knocturne is taking the band across Europe and the US.  Be Forest were recently invited to perform at KEXP, watch the full performance here.

Giungla
No stranger to international showcase appearances and sharing stages with the likes of The xx, Foals, Grimes and Battles, Ema Drei (aka Giungla) has already picked up praise from tastemaker sites around the world. Bringing together atmospheric electronics with Ema's guitar work, in turns artfully angular then brashly anthemic and with her passionate vocals - her music is riotous exuberant indie-pop as dazzling, tricky and bursting with life as the 'Jungle' she named herself after.

Malihini
Their name may mean ‘newcomers’ in Hawaiian, but Malihini, aka Rome-based duo Giampaolo Speziale and Federica Caiozzo, deal exclusively in the music of lived experience and time-honed emotional intelligence, their disarming musical universe never less than distinctive, yet resonating with a confessional, modern European pop sophistication of a kind elsewhere purveyed by the likes of Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jose Gonzalez and Our Broken Garden. Recent debut LP “Hopefully, Again” (Memphis Industries) was written on a retreat on the Aeolian island of Vulcano and recorded in the remote Giant Wafer studio in Powys, Wales.

The Pier
Formed by Gabriele Terlizzi, Davide Pasculli and Danilo De Candia, the power trio comes from the south of Italy. Their repertoire includes both instrumentals and songs with English vocals. Often described as ‘indie math rock’, The Pier’s more accurate description involves a furious mixture of math, post-rock and post punk, with influences that include Don Caballero, Radiohead, Foals, This Town Needs Guns and Joy Division. Their new album “Dead Reckoning” came out in December 2018 via Kallax Records.  The band is supported by regional music export office Puglia Sounds.

OFF Festival Katowice 2019 Jarvis Cocker and Distant Journeys

From Chicago’s clubs
to the Icelandic wilderness and Polish roads: get ready for a trip around the
world, all without leaving Katowice. Joining us will be Pablopavo i Ludziki,
EABS feat. Tenderlonious, Hania Rani, Honey Dijon, Soccer Mommy, and P.Unity.
What’s more, we’ll welcome one
of Britain’s most important alternative artists, Jarvis Cocker.

Jarvis Cocker introducing
JARV IS...

This is going to be insane! Jarvis is finally
coming to the OFF Festival! The artist is best known and loved as the leader of
Pulp, one of the bands that defined the 90s guitar band sound. We’ve listened
to his solo albums (and the one with Chilly Gonzales) over and over, awing over
his musical versatility and brilliant lyrics. We kept in touch through his BBC
6 shows (who cares if it was a one-way channel?). All the more reason for us to
await the artist’s latest incarnation, JARV IS, with great hope and impatience,
especially after the enthusiastic reviews of his first performances in the UK.

Pablopavo i Ludziki z Naprawdę
Dużym Zespołem

Pablopavo became a regular fixture at literary
festivals following the 2017 release of his critically acclaimed short story
collection Mikrotyki
(congratulations!). But Pablo isn’t one to snub his nose at the music scene:
he’s constantly laying down and releasing new tracks with ever-evolving
configurations and lineups of artists and genres, not to mention his myriad
guest appearances (numbering around fifty records, at last count). In 2018 he
released his fifth album—and first venture into the realm of disco—with
Ludziki. This is no Saturday Night Fever,
but more of a contemplative, shoe-gazing dance—somewhat euphoric at the
prospect of no tomorrow, but also sad, because today isn’t much better. Prepare
to hear some old and new material featuring the whole cast
of characters Pablopavo fans have come to love. He might even play the one
about Krzysiek.

EABS feat. Tenderlonious

Electro Acoustic Beat Sessions brings together
a range of artists, from jazz musicians to rappers. Any musical act would be
lucky to have this much talent in one place. Led by Marek Pędziwiatr, the
Wrocław-based ensemble oscillates between genres, blending musical haute culture with swashbuckling
artistic bravado. Their 2017 album Repetitions
(Letters to Krzysztof Komeda)
, a top-notch effort to grapple with the
eminent Polish jazzman’s musical legacy, landed EABS the very first GaMa Award
and a Fryderyk nomination. Their latest release, Slavic Spirits, delves much deeper into our shared heritage,
attempting to convey the titular Slavic soul through a completely un-Slavic
genre of music. Aiding the band
in this effort is the London-based multi-instrumentalist Tenderlonious, who
takes the stage armed with a flute and soprano sax.

Hania Rani

The pianist, composer, arranger and vocalist
Hanna Raniszewska didn’t just wait around for a stroke of fortune—she worked
hard to make
it happen. There’s no challenge too great for her, no musical aesthetic too
unfamiliar. Hania Rani has reimagined the centuries-old hymns of Henry Purcell
and John Dowland, performed songs by the Polish rocker Grzegorz Ciechowski (in
a duo with Dobrawa Chocher), composed theater scores, collaborated with Misia
Furtak, and formed one half of the duo Tęskno (with Joanna Longić), which
released the excellent album Mi last
year. But the time has finally come for her to launch a solo project. Her first
release as Hania Rani, the outstanding LP Esja,
was recorded partially in Warsaw and in Reykjavik (at the studio of Bergur Þórisson,
best known for his work with Björk and Ólafur Arnalds), and sounds as beautiful
as Iceland and Poland combined.

Honey Dijon

The Chicago-born DJ, trans-rights activist and
fashion icon Honey Dijon splits her time between New York and Berlin. Her sound
reveals
a musical taste shaped in the home (her parents had an impressive collection of
soul and R’n’B records) and in Chicago’s club scene. Her original style is
built on a foundation of eclecticism and boldness.

Soccer Mommy

Sophie Allison cites Taylor Swift and Avril
Lavigne as her idols, but don’t expect an explosive cocktail of country and
radio-friendly pop from this Nashville native. Soccer Mommy’s original
compositions are touching in their fragile beauty and disarming frankness. Her
self-produced albums For Young Hearts
and Collection are definitely worth a
listen, but last year’s Clean is
practically obligatory. “I wanna be that cool,” Sophie sings in one song. Which
is a bit weird, because she already is.

P.Unity

If P.Unity was nominated for a Fryderyk award
for best blues album, it’s only because it’s really hard to pinpoint the exact
genre played by this Warsaw band. It’s definitely funk, but it’s also soul,
jazz and rap, all simmered in a trippy, psychedelic sauce. There’s echoes of
Parliament/Funkadelic and a hint of Prince—but the songs that never made it
into the top 40. If you like P.Unity’s debut album Pulp, or their collaboration with Michał Urbaniak, then rest
assured that that’s merely an overture to their live performance in Katowice...

This year’s OFF
Festival also features the previously announced acts: Foals, Suede, Stereolab,
Neneh Cherry, Aldous Harding, Superorganism, Perfect Son, Electric Wizard, The
Gaslamp Killer, The Comet is Coming, IC3PEAK, Daughters, Lotic: Endless Power,
The Body, Dezerter performs Underground Out of Poland, slowthai, Black Midi,
Masecki Jazz Trio, OM, SAMA’, Jakuzi, Phum Viphurit, Durand Jones & The
Indications, Lebanon Hanover, Loyle Carner, Emerald, Octavian, Ammar 808,
Tirzah, Wczasy, Entropia, and Boogarins, as well as Bamba Pana & Makaveli,
and the Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble.

The 2019 OFF Festival Katowice will take place August 2–4 at Three Pond Valley, its regular venue. Three-day passes are now available at the OFF Shop for 330 PLN. This price lasts until April 7 or until the second round of tickets is sold out! Campground tickets are also available for 80 PLN.

THE ENDURING APPEAL OF EXIT – EUROPE’S ULTIMATE BUCKET LIST FESTIVAL

EXIT Festival in Serbia’s second city of Novi Sad has become one of Europe’s most famous festivals, with a reputation as an essential rite-of-passage weekender.

As it approaches its 20th birthday in 2020, the festival is still innovating and branching out – but it will never forget its initial ethos of freedom, social change and youth rebellion at the beginning of the millennium. With its multiple international awards and endless stream of positive reviews, it would be all-too easy to take EXIT for granted. But here are six reasons why it’s a must on the annual festival calendar.

A force for social change
Not many modern festivals have a backstory beyond a commercial enterprise, but EXIT was formed in the spirit of genuine youth rebellion. The festival started as a 100-day student protest in 2000 against the Milosevic regime, with an idea to “Exit out of the madness” and a movement for freedom in Serbia and peace in the Balkans. The festival’s mission statement was clear from the beginning – to achieve social change with music and foster an openness with the rest of Europe and further afield. The growth of EXIT followed a long period of Serbian people feeling isolated from the rest of Europe, with young people especially embracing the change and a pride in the city. Each year EXIT has a theme, such as ‘Freedom’, ‘Summer of Love’, or 2019’s banner of ‘Tribe’, and this is laid out in the opening ceremony and promotional materials – adding to the vibe of unity and community.

The Stunning Location
Petrovaradin Fortress is simply Europe’s greatest festival setting – a 18th century citadel on a cliff overlooking the River Danube. The ‘Gibraltar on the Danube’ is visible for miles and looms large as you cross Varadin Bridge and through the archways and cobbled streets of Novi Sad Old Town leading up to a night at EXIT. Once inside you soon realise this is way beyond a session in a field. The vast site has ancient cobbled paths, grand courtyards, underground tunnels, grass verges metal staircases and moss-covered castle walls. At its highest point is the Clock Tower and its backwards clock with reverse hands – lovingly nicknamed the ‘Drunken Clock’ by locals. It’s also a perfect vantage point for a view of the city and the Danube below. Petrovaradin Fortress is one of Serbia’s most cherished landmarks and is protected by the state, so it’s a nice touch that it’s handed over to its citizens every year for a huge party.  And don’t forget the priceless bonus of the Serbian midsummer sunshine...

The whole city embraces EXIT
From the hundreds of official volunteers at the fortress, to the good-natured street vendors on Varadin Bridge selling beers from buckets of ice or barbecued corn on the cob, Novi Sad welcomes EXIT like a returning best mate every summer.  The city’s main squares and cobbled streets fly exit flags and banners, and many locals give up their apartments in prime spots, with reasonable deals available on local sites or through property companies. EXIT has had such a profound effect that the festival team ran the successful bid for Novi Sad to become the European City of Culture for 2021, as well as European Youth Capital in 2019. Prepare to be stopped by many Serbians for a chat over the weekend – they’re dying to find out where you’re from and to thank you for visiting.   It’s all a huge contrast from UK city festivals that are stifled by volume restrictions, suspicious locals and finishing times of 11pm – just as EXIT is starting to get warmed up.

The wildly diverse line ups
If you quickly scan the EXIT line-up every year you’ll notice the massive names who’ve headlined, as well as top DJs and hyped acts, with Grace Jones, Liam Gallagher, The Killers, The Prodigy, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Arcade Fire, Pet Shop Boys and New Order just a few of the names who’ve visited Petrovaradin over the years.  But dig deeper and you’ll find the most eclectic line-up of any festival in Europe, ranging from indie-rock and pop to techno, hip-hop, reggae, disco, folk and loads more, and if you’re brave enough, the heaviest metal on the planet at the infamous Explosive Stage. There are over 20 stages, not including random DJ sets and gigs in pop-up bars, archways and wooded areas. Certain areas even work as separate mini-festivals with boxed-off well-curated line-ups, such as No Sleep Novi Sad, which zones in on underground dance music. To go further down the rabbit hole you can even perform yourself at the Karaoke Stage.

The spectacular Dance Arena
Even though there is a specific Main Stage, the Dance Arena feels like the real jewel of EXIT, and the engine room that fuels the party till 8am over the four days.  Dance Arena is a rave for 20,000 in the Fortress moat which works as an enclosed amphitheatre and its pulse can be felt throughout the whole site. It has a 60-metre speaker rig, spectacular 3D projection-mapped visuals and platforms on glass verges to take it all in, and witness the spectacular sunrise over the Danube.  Many DJs have said Dance Arena is the best festival stage in the world, and former acts have included Jeff Mills, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Dave Clarke and Nina Kraviz – who played an extra hour till 9am last year and called it “one of the most special places on Earth”.

Value for money
If you’re a UK festival veteran you’ll be allergic to overpriced tickets and food and drink costs that border on extortion rackets. But even though EXIT’s production values are off the charts – from the sound systems to the lasers shows, fireworks and performers – it’s by far the cheapest big league festival in Europe. Four-day festival passes are £99 at the minute – with a 5 tickets for the price of 4 offer. A camping pass is only £27 on top of that, and you can stay for a week. If you don’t fancy camping, local apartments are a fraction of the cost of Airbnbs in many other big cities, and likewise if you’re really treating yourself to a hotel. Once you take into account the cheap food and drink at the festival and around the city, and even the flights, you will most likely spend less than a full weekend at a UK festival.

WESTWAY LAB 2019 - Artist Residencies

Westway LAB, now in its sixth year, invites eight musicians from different parts of the world for a week-long artistic residency. The festival puts together the artists in pairs and each duo presents the result of their work at the end of the week, in a showcase at the Café Concerto of the Centro Cultural Vila Flor. This year Westway LAB is excited to host the Portuguese musicians Beatriz Nunes, João Pascoal, of The Happy Mess, Sofia Ribeiro (Lince), Pedro Ribeiro (Captain Boy); the Venezuelan singer, Yosune, who lives in Porto; Italian singer-songwriter, Violetta Zironi; Slovakian indie-pop creator, Mickey, duo based in Austria; and the Canadian pop-rock band, the Tribe Royal.

At the end of the week in the Candoso Creation Centre, the eight musicians will present the results of their collaboration during Westway LAB. This 40-minute showcase is the only requirement placed on the participating artists and of the 20 musical collaborations that the festival has fostered since 2014, several have given rise to new musical projects, for example when We Bless This Mess (PT) got together with Ivan & the Parasol (HU) the side-project Melonas was born. The 2-day showcase therefore offers a unique first-hand opportunity to listen to new music that may make its mark in the future.

As well as the artist residencies Westway LAB combines in an innovative way the realization of an event based with three dimensions: Process (artist residencies), Thought (PRO Conferences) and Product (showcases and headline concerts) across 4 days from 10th to 13th of April in Guimarães.   Founded in 2014 with a clear mission: to operate a cultural, social and economic transformation through music, crossing borders enabling the construction of sustainable internationalization of artists and professionals from Portugal.

Since its inception, Westway LAB has always had a strong sense of collaborating internationally and this year the event will realise this by presenting Canada as the spotlight country.  On April 12th, the Canadian representation at the Westway LAB 2019 will be fueled by folk territory, which intersects with pop in compositions for female voices by singer-songwriters Sarah MacDougall and Megan Nash and the trio of boys The East Pointers. The music of the duo Les Deuxluxes will be more electrified and will make rock its strength, whereas the band Tribe Royal bases its music in the pop-rock.

On the same night, and similarly to last year, Westway LAB once again hosts the WHY Portugal Event, organized by the Portuguese music export office. From the pop built between guitars and synthesizers by Neev, to the traditional Fado Portuguese guitar of Marta Pereira da Costa, passing by the delicate indie sounds of Vaarwell.

Similarly, the European networks (ETEP and INES) in which the festival is integrated contribute decisively to the important architecture of relationships that are propagated by bringing cultural and economic value to this particular ecosystem. This is the case of the Dutch musician Jacco Gardner who brings to Westway LAB his latest album, "Somnium", in what will be the opening concert of the festival (10 April), as well as the Italian singer-songwriter Violetta Zironi, who promises a performance where the guitar will need little more company than its powerful voice (April 11).

With the Vila Flor Cultural Centre as a base of operations, the 6th edition of the event will once again be spread to various places in the city, through the city showcases that will transform Guimarães into a great stage, taken by artists and the public, who intertwine with magic from music. During the afternoon of Saturday, April 13, it will be possible to listen to the indie-pop of Mickey, a Slovak based in Austria, the American pop of Swedish influences Elin Namnieks or the indie-rock of Izzy and the Black Trees, of Poland, three projects that are part of the selection of the INES network for 2019. From Greece comes the multi-instrumentalist and composer Theodore. The national performance is well delivered to Holy Nothing, one of the most promising national bands, creating the frontier between electronic and post-rock, as well as guitarist Francisco Sales, singer Beatriz Nunes and rock-dirty quartet Smartini.

On the last night of the festival, the music spread by the CCVF in a great celebration. Through a general pass, for the value of 20 euros, it will be possible to attend the concerts of The Black Mamba, Tashi Wada Group feat. Julia Holter, Batida apresenta: The Almost Perfect DJ, Captain Boy, Mister Roland, Paraguaii and Whales. The first 150 passes also give exclusive access to the opening concert with Jacco Gardner.

WESTWAY LAB - PRO Conference 2019
For the upcoming 6th edition of Westway LAB, Portugal’s first showcase festival & conference expands its three main conference streams, Westway PRO, INES Sessions and the WHY Portugal Event through the addition of a central Westway LAB Lounge, a permanent networking lounge open throughout the event, offering registered delegates a space dedicated to their formal & informal networking, besides the conferences, roundtables and panels. An environment that constitutes another step forward, as the LAB monicker does not apply exclusively to the Artist Residencies: Westway is also a LABoratory for new projects, new ideas, new partnerships and new horizons. From Westway LAB’s first edition, back in 2014, to the present, this has always been an intrinsic part of the Westway DNA.

As such, in
addition to the above-mentioned three conference streams, the Westway PRO, INES PRO and WHY Portugal Event, the on-going
partnership with AMAEI, the
Portuguese Independent Music Trade Association brings to Guimarães a new
European project, Europe in Synch: a
Music Moves Europe preparatory action of “Training
of Young Professionals”
.  It is also
fitting in that the idea for the project was born at Westway LAB, precisely two
years ago.

Furthermore, the
partnership with the GDA Foundation
also affirms, this year, the dedication of the GDA Foundation in utilizing technologies
as tools for music circulation. The GDA panel will thus present us with two
Portuguese home-grown platforms seeking new solutions to this age-old
challenge: how to tour more. Finally, through a new partnership with Audiogest, the phonogram producers
society, we are happy to feature a Portuguese
Keynote speaker
and “State of the
Art of the Portuguese Industry”
roundtable, as well as host not just the
second edition of the WHY Portugal Event, run by Portugal’s export office for
music, but also a meeting of EMEE -
European Music Exporters Exchange
, bringing 28 European Export Offices to
Portugal.

Solomun brings his famous "+1" Ibiza party to EXIT Festival with special guests Tale of Us!

Last summer, global music juggernaut EXIT Festival displayed a true “Arenamagedon” in the colossal trenches of its spectacular stage mts Dance Arena, but this year’s lineup promises even bigger edition!

After Carl Cox announced his return to one of the planet’s greatest open-air raves, he was quickly joined by Paul Kalkbrenner, Amelie Lens, Maceo Plex, Jeff Mills, Charlotte de Witte, Boris Brejcha, Peggy Gou, Dax J, Monika Kruse, Adriatique, Satori, Johannes Brecht and many others. This “galactic” team of the greatest electronic stars of today will be completed by none other than Solomun, an EXIT regular since 2010 who brings his famous “+1” party format that conquered Ibiza! He will bring the spirit of the White Isle to the colossal 18th century fortress with his special guests, the leading techno and house scene duo of today – Tale of Us! Special and original in their format, the “Solomun +1” parties in the famous Pacha club are considered the most talked about on Ibiza, the global hotspot for clubbing. Their unique concept will takeover EXIT's gigantic stage for six hours, presenting Solomun and Tale of Us in their solo sets first and ending with a grand finale 2-hour b2b set!

Solomun brings his +1 to EXIT 2019 with Tale of Us: https://youtu.be/uPv55EMAzfU

During each week of the four-month summer season on Ibiza, Solomun personally picks one guest to share the DJ stand with him at the Pacha club for the whole night. This party series has seen monumental success, with Mladen’s list of guests including Sven Vath, Dixon, Black Coffee, DJ Tennis, and many other artists including Belgrade very own Vladimir Ivković! At the finale of its annual Ibiza season, Solomun invites Tale of Us, but also plays at the closing of their “Afterlife” series, causing many to dub this “back2back” as the currently hottest at the Spanish island! The Italian duo is currently at the pinnacle of their successful career, with their last year’s performance at EXIT Festival having been received as one of the best sets in recent years. Karm and Mateo have conquered the clubbing scene with tracks such as “Another Earth“, "Northern Star", "Monument", and one of the most popular labels in the past few years.

Apart from locations such as Miami, New York, Paris, Tulum and of course, Ibiza, this exclusive map will include Novi Sad this year as well, as the home of EXIT festival, which Solomun once called as “one of the best experiences in his career”! His planetary rise happened, among other places, at EXIT Festival as far as 2010, when he played in the early morning hours which are exatctly the ones he shines at the most! His unbreakable bond with EXIT was confirmed last year as well, when he “delivered” a very inspired set to the Arena, confirming his status as one of EXIT’s contemporary resident DJs, after which the audience gave him roaring ovations, enticing him to extend the set for another half-hour! The winner of the prestigious DJ Award for the best melodic house and techno in 2018 appears to be able to get anything done – apart from being the head of the Diynamic record label that recently celebrated its 100th release, he finds time to star in one of the most popular video games GTA, alongside the Tale of Us.

Special EXIT ticket offer: Buy 4, Get 5!
Don't forget that EXIT's favourite group offer is back: friends who buy four tickets together receive one ticket as a present! "4+1" offer will last until a very limited number of packages are sold out! EXIT tickets are available at exitfest.org, and for those who wish to bundle them with accomodation and local transfer, there are also packages starting at €135. Default accommodation is the festival camp located on the city beach, while hotels can be booked through EXIT's official tourist agency at exittrip.org.

EXIT Festival will be held 4-7 July 2019 at Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, while the always diverse line-up will include The Cure, Greta Van Fleet, Carl Cox, Skepta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DJ Snake, Desiigner, Lost Frequencies, IAMDDB, Sofi Tukker, Solomun, Tale of Us, Tom Walker, Maceo Plex, Charlotte De Witte, Boris Brejcha, Peggy Gou, Jeff Mills, Amelie Lens, Dax J, Phil Anselmo & The Illegals, Tarja Turunen, 65daysofstatic, The Selecter, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, Whitechapel, Atheist Rap, Arcturus, Total Chaos and many more to come soon.
