Exit’s second largest electronic music stage revealed!

The second largest electronic music stage at Exit festival, and the favourite oasis of the most quality alternative house, techno, and bass sounds, has a new name and message this year: No Sleep Novi Sad! Neatly tucked behind the mts Dance Arena as it’s been for the last few years when it went by the name of HappyNoviSad, the No Sleep Novi Sad stage is realised this year in collaboration with Serbia’s internationally renowned clubs 20/44 and Drugstore from Belgrade, as well as the regional electronic magazine UESmag.com, including its traditional partner Happynovisad.com which will offer Novi Sad’s top talent.

This year’s program has been completed, and it’s headlined by Scott Fraser, Clockwork & Awatism Live, Bas Mooy, Charlton Live, Re:Axis, Radial, Sleeparchive, BOP as well as special guest and star from the main stage, Enei, with a special set of rare drum’n’bass classics! Support for the program comes from some of the most active collectives in the local scene such as Disco Not Disco, Beyond House, Public P, Hear It. Feel It. Move It, Metnem, Bassline and Mystic Stylez. Guests of the No Sleep Novi Sad stage from the regional include Forsek from Hungary, Forest People from Bosnia, the bass duo High Roll from Bulgaria, Elarith from Romania, whilst the myriad of local performers includes Schwabe, Brka, Vitanov, Damir Zekiri, Ognjem, Toshke, Klaus, Mihajlo HFM, Sloxxx, Scalameriya, Filip Xavi, Stevie Whisper, A//O & kӣr Live PA, Lag, Monosaccharide, Phillie P, Jackie Dagger, Codex, Kastiljas MC, Rahmanee, Senzzor and Okke.

The honour of kickstarting this year’s No Sleep Novi Sad Stage on Thursday, 9 July, falls to the two DJ associations, house icons Disco Not Disco and their legitimate heirs Beyond House, and their guest will be the Scottish Scott Fraser. The experienced producer developed in his hometown Glasgow, but once he moved to London, he became an inseparable collaborator for Andrew Weatherall and Tim Fairplay, with whom he now runs a label and also-named parties „Crimes of the Future“, which are considered prestigious in the Britain capitol’s club scene.

Friday, 10 June is slated for the Public P evening, presented by UESmag.com, with absolute stars CW/A, the „live“ duo made up by long-time collaborators and exceptionally cherished producers Clockwork and Avatism. The project was presented at SONAR festival in 2013 for the first time, as a live version of their albums „Adamant“ (Vakant) and „B.O.A.T.S“ (Life and Death) from the same year. Their live acts are a fresh take on modern techno music, carefully selected and sonically spotless, with a layered sound of analogous rhythm machines, synths, and effects. The leading Portuguese techno producer Re:Axis, owns the label „Monocline“, and publishes for „Planet Rhythm“, while his releases are often played by Ben Klock, DVS1, Tale Of Us, Dasha Rush, Scuba, Truncate and many others.

The famous publisher MORD, as part of the Drugstore evening on Saturday, 11 July, sends their greatest assets, led by Bas Mooy, one of the main representatives of Netherlandish techno sound. The producer from Roterdam, Charlton, is bringing his live act based on 90s techno to Exit, and is known for tracks „Chaotic Behavior“, „Vulnerable“ and „Black Shlong“. Sleeparchive has been one of the leaders of Berlin minimalist sound for years, and after the global hit „Elephant Island“ he is regularly releasing for Tresor and MORD. Radial is another representative of Netherlandish techno sound, and leads the legendary label Audio Assauldt, and is known for singles „Storm Tide“ and offbeat tracks „1980“, „Boks“, „Keychain.“

Sunday, 12 July, is reserved for one more program foundation on the Novi Sad-Beograd relation, as part of the Extra Bass evening that is led in conjunction by the Bassline and Metnem associations, with support by Mystic Styles, under the patronage of the online magazine Happynovisad.com. The stars of the final evening are rising bass producer Bop and his famous colleague Enei, both of which come from Sankt Petersburg, and publish for leading labels Hospital, Critical, KOS.MOS, Med School and Exit Records.

Tickets are sold online at www.exitfest.org, while travel packages, which contain transport, accommodation, and tickets for the true festival holiday experience from 7 to 20 July, are available at www.exittrip.org.
