IRF Sounds of India

After the success of the inaugural Sound of India contest, the International Radio Festival is again teaming up with Radioandmusic.com and Mixcloud to find the Indian FM Radio Show of 2013.  The contest invites all Indian FM radio stations to submit their best music radio show with the winning station having the opportunity to showcase their music radio show at this year’s IRF in Zurich from 4th – 8th September, broadcasting their programme live back to India!

Radio in India offers incredibly exciting programming, as proved by last year’s winner Malishka at Red FM. The festival absolutely looks forward to another 2hrs radio show from India, offering all those tuned in to ‘Listen to how the World Sounds’.” Says IRF festival co-founder Darryl von Daniken.

Last year’s competition received over 100 entries from 70 private and public FM radio stations. Red FM’s RJ Malishka, host of the station’s Breakfast show ‘Morning No 1’ emerged as the winner and won herself and show producer Naheed Jumani the unique opportunity to broadcast a special edition of her show live from the IRF in Zurich.
