Crystal Fighters, Kid Simius (live), PTTRNS, Pool and Glass Animals so far confirmed to perform on 18th July at Intro Zelt.
Since 2010, our warm-up event to Melt! has turned into the ultimate place to be for festivalgoers who are eager to take over the campsites on Thursday already. In 2013, Crystal Fighters, Kid Simius (live), PTTRNS, Pool and Glass Animals will kick off three days of festival madness.
Crystal Fighters already lured in the crowd at Melt! 2011 with hits like „Xtatic Truth“, their mixture of acoustic and electronic elements, techno-laden bass drums, Spanish folk instruments and 80s synth. The band’s sophomore album, Cave Rave, is due this year.
Kid Simius first left an impression in Germany as part of the Marsimoto crew. As a solo act, however, he’s got lots to offer as well. On his EPs,Who The Fuck Is Kid Simius and El Classico, he skilfully mixed dubstep and bass with live music elements.
After having performed at Intro Zelt once before as the winners of the Intro band contest in 2010,PTTRNS are back on stage in Ferropolis with their sophomore album, Body Pressure.
Pool became known to a wider audience sharing the stage with Digitalism and getting remixed by Aeroplane and other high-calibre acts. Tracks like „Don’t Call My Name“, released on their debut EP, Game Over, appeal to indie connoisseur with playful guitars and bass driven beats.
Atmospheric soundscapes reminiscent of The xx and Wild Beasts are Glass Animals forte. After their debut EP, the band’s first full-length album will be released in 2013.
