The line-up for Eurosonic Noorderslag 2013 is heading towards completion and the 27th edition of will showcase more than 290 acts.


With today’s announcement of new acts, the line-up for Eurosonic Noorderslag 2013 is heading towards completion. The 27 edition of will showcase more than 290 acts.

The following European acts will join the line-up of Eurosonic, taking place from Wednesday 9th till Friday 11th January:

Focus on Finland
As  part  of  the  Focus  on  Finland,  Acid  Symphony  Orchestra,  Death  Hawks,  Eva  & Manu, Lau  Nau, LCMDF,  Mesak  ft  Claws  Costeau,  Michael  Monroe,  Pertti  Kurikan Nimipäivät, Phantom,  Satellite Stories,  Sin  Cos  Tan,  Siinai  will  showcase  in Groningen. In  addition, four  Finnish  acts  that  previously performed  at  Eurosonic  Noorderslag  have been  added  to the  line  up:  Disco  Ensemble,  Don  Johnson  Big Band,  Huoratron  and Rubik.

Finnish band French Films is also one of the winners of a European Border Breakers Award. French Films and the nine other winners will receive their awards in a televised ceremony hosted by TV personality and musician Jools Holland at the opening of Eurosonic Noorderslag, on Wednesday 9th of January 2013. The ceremony, including performances by most of the winning acts, will be broadcast by Dutch National Television (NTR) and will also receive European coverage through TV channels and radio stations.

About  Eurosonic  Noorderslag
Eurosonic Noorderslag, the European Music Conference and Showcase Festival, takes place from 9th to 12th of January 2013 in the Dutch city of Groningen.  By day, European music professionals network and take part in the many panels, seminars and workshops. By night new European artists perform to an audience of music lovers and international music professionals.  Eurosonic is the showcase festival for the most current and promising European (and Dutch) acts taking place from 9th to 11th January in multiple venues in Groningen and Noorderslag is the indicator for Dutch music and takes place on Saturday the 12th of January 2013 in the Oosterpoort theatre in Groningen.
