A welcome return for Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion and an eagerly anticipated debut for Bloc Party at this years EXIT Festival.

Continuing the R:Evolution, EXIT reveals the second wave of headliners which is sure not to disappoint. A welcome return for the reincarnated Snoop Dogg aka Snoop Lion, who last performed at EXIT in 2007.  During his performance he defiantly declared  “This ain’t the last time you’re gonna see this face.” And he was right. We’re glad he has stayed true to his word, as what better artist to join in the R:Evolution of this year’s EXIT Festival than this groundbreaking artist who has continued to re invent himself and stay at the top of his game, with over 30 million albums albums sold worldwide.

Snoop Lion is a new moniker of multi-platinum artist and entertainment icon, Snoop Dogg, whose ability to stay at the forefront of popular culture and new technology has resulted in unwavering relevance. Snoop Lion, in conjunction with VICE Media and Stampede Management, are set to release REINCARNATED, the multi-media project capturing Snoop’s exploration of reggae music and spiritual growth.

EXIT FESTIVAL IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION
Started by 3 students in 2000 against the Milosevic regime, fighting for political change and freedom, today the festival is still an NGO (Non Governmental Ogranisation), one that promotes change and positive education, supporting many community and humanitarian missions, while throwing a damn good party.

EXIT strives to bring the best talent possible with the challenges that a non-profit brings, all while playing a vital role in bringing together the new nations of former Yugoslavia, war-torn by the events and it is the social importance of the Festival that made it unique and globally recognized.

EXIT 2013 will feature another strong social campaign that will focus on human rights and global freedoms, with a series of films, art exhibitions, lectures and debates being organized with prominent names from that field from around the world.

Music is a universal language that connects and brings people together to make the world a better place.

EXIT. Where hedonism meets activism.

WHAT THE ARTISTS SAY ABOUT EXIT:
“EXIT Festival is very special. Most commercial festivals are promoting conformity these days. We find that boring. EXIT’s approach is much more modern! Because its organizers are bringing a great variety of music styles to their audience. Music really matters there. People run it with passion! We loved playing at EXIT!!! The crowd is very open minded and enthusiastic!” Alec Empire of Atari Teenage Riot

“The best festival ever on the planet, there’s none better.” Jay Bentley, Bad Religion

“We heard of EXIT festival 5 years ago when Franz Ferdinand told us we must try and play it. Our headlining slot 5 years later lived up to all our expectations and more, it was a great moment when the crowd and band have that perfect link on what was a perfect evening. We hope to come again to the fortress of dreams”. Russell Leetch, Editors

“We went up to the festival as punters the day before our show and felt it was the most fantastic place to watch live music. When we finally played the following night, the crowd, the view and the atmosphere were even more perfect. Exit is a special place.”Ed Lay, Editors

“Exit is one of the liveliest, most action packed, crazy fun type festivals on the planet. We had an incredible time – hoping to be back SOON!” Foreign Beggars

“The Exit festival stands as a monument to the trans formative power of people and music. Getting the opportunity to play and help celebrate the 10th anniversary is something that will stay with me forever.” Damian aka Pink Eyes Fucked Up

“EXIT Festival has been the highlight of our summer so far…what a crowd…what a country…it will stay in our hearts for an eternity. Much love.” Klaxons

“It was an honour and a privilege to play such an important festival especially on its 10th anniversary.  The crowd and the location were stunning.  We hope we will be invited back.” Nicky Wire, James, Sean, Manic Street Preachers
“It was good to be part of such a politically important non corporate festival that has  much good music and intentions in a really beautiful place’.” Adrian Utley, Portishead

“EXIT has a crazy wild side that only very few festivals have. Bring us back again, we fukin luv it. Come on!!!” The Prodigy
