edition of the electronic music platform to feature leading music industry power players in wide-ranging and in-depth keynote interviews.

October might seem a long way off right now, but with just over six months to go, ADE’s organizers are delighted to be able to announce that this year’s conference program will feature a couple of stellar names from the world of entertainment. On Wednesday, October 15th Live Nation Entertainment’s president and chief executive officer Michael Rapino, who currently sits at No.4 on Billboard’s Power 100 List, will take part in a keynote Q&A. He will be offering his vision of the future of both live and recorded music, the growing role of technology and what part it will play in the future of music, as well as offering insight into his expansion and diversification strategy for Live Nation Entertainment.

The ADE is equally pleased to be able to reveal that Merlin CEO Charles Caldas, another name that appears on Billboard’s 2014 Power List, will be appearing in the first part of the one-on-one interview series, The Future Is Here Already. Caldas will be covering topics such as the future of streaming, transactional transparency, how apps can be leveraged by artists and labels, and how Merlin acts to ensure its members have effective access to new and emerging revenue streams and that their rights are appropriately valued and protected.

Sweden, the country that gave the world Avicii, Max Martin, Robyn, Steve Angello, Stonebridge, Swedish House Mafia, The Knife, Fever Ray, Lykke Li, Basshunter and many more will be one of the territories under the microscope at ADE 2014. Related events include a Swedish Focus panel featuring leading members of the local music industry, and Meet The Swedes!, an informal but focused networking session where delegates can get up close and personal with the people who matter in the Swedish music industry.

ADE will be announcing more names next month, to be followed by a comprehensive round-up of both speakers and panel topics at the end of the summer.
