The Garden Get Together Tour is back for 2013, taking in the UK’s and Europe’s coolest clubs with a selection of special guest
It’s that time of year again when The Garden Festival goes global and introduces its The Garden Get Together Tour for spring and summer 2013. There’s a party trail which will cross Europe, weaving a merry way over the UK and the continent, taking in some of the finest clubs around in anticipation of this summer’s 8th Garden Festival in Tisno, set upon the idyllic Dalmatian coastline and Adriatic Sea. Guests this year include live shows from Metro Area, Space Dimension Controller, Crazy P, Auntie Flo and Outboxx, with DJ sets from Floating Points, Eats Everything, Thugfucker, Justin Martin, Krystal Klear, Theo Parrish, Soul Clap, Wolf and Lamb, Bicep and many more.
Working with host partners and DJ guests who will be at the festival, The Garden Get Together Tour is the perfect chance to get a dose of Garden love in nice and early. For those searching for some sizzling sunshine from Croatia, these shows offer an outstanding selection of hand-picked taste-makers and innovators to help brighten up this cold winter’s seemingly endless days and nights and usher in spring and summer as soon as possible.
With the tour having already started in London last weekend, attention now turns to The Bull’s Head in Moseley, Birmingham, with This Is Tomorrow & Freestyle, who present Wolf Music DJs, Matt Beck, Sam Redmore and Opyn & Bastian on Friday 8th March. The following weekend the tour heads north to Louche in Leeds where Marcellus Pittmann & Tama Sumo are on deck duties all night long at the Mint Club on Saturday 16th. And the very same night in Bristol, Futureboogie are taking over Factory Studios with DJ Nature, Felix Dickinson, KRL, Casino Times, Wolf Music DJs and the Futureboogie DJs in attendance.
On Easter Thursday El Diablo’s Social Club present Maurice Fulton, Neil Scott and Dave Walker at The Soup Kitchen in Manchester, then the tour jets over to Istanbul where Psychemagik and Orkun Bozdemir are on show at Lucca on Saturday 13th April. A week later on the 20th April PBR Streetgang and First Season party with Stripped Down at Kapitel Bollwerk in Bern, Switzerland, and on Friday 26th Maxxi Soundsystem, the Futureboogie DJs and Neal Schtumm are teaming up with Schtumm at Brighton’s Marine Parade club.
The final trio of gigs takes in Liverpool’s Discoteca Poca with Crazy P, Maxxi Soundsystem, Allen & Hutch, No Fakin’, Phil Cooper and Dash aka Auto Cycle at new venue Haus, then the tour jumps ahead to Saturday 8th June at Dublin’s Button Factory with Soul Clap and the Futureboogie DJs at the Hidden Agenda party. The last show of the tour touches down in Ibiza at the world’s number one club, Space, the iconic epicenter of dance music’s culture hosting the Futureboogie DJs and the Garden’s very own Nick Colgan.
