With just over a month to go until the 20th edition of ADE takes place in Amsterdam, the majority of the conference schedule is now in place.

The Amsterdam Dance Event, which celebrates its 20th edition this year, today announces more additions to the conference programme. Over its 20 year history, the event has grown into a renowned platform for the international dance scene, attracting 5,500 professional visitors and 365,000 festivalgoers from 85 countries each year. ADE’s multiple conference streams connect the worldwide music industry, offering the ultimate annual business and inspiration platform in the field of electronic music. Divided into six themed programs, ADE’s comprehensive conference covers every aspect of the modern music industry, featuring dedicated programming for business professionals, start-ups, aspiring producers and musicians, students, VJs, visual artists and stage designers. The programs also feature in-depth expertise and insight into the harder music genres, the relationship between music and technology, and sustainable, ecologically responsible practices for the global dance music industry.

Meet the Godfathers will bring together music legends who were making proto-house and techno before the words were even invented, including Manuel Göttsching of Ash Ra Tempel, Irmin Schmidt of Can and Boris Blank of Yello, alongside Kenny Dope Gonzalez of Masters at Work and Paul Hartnoll of Orbital. The annual Artist Debate this year features Nicky Romero and Martin Solveig in Power to the Artist!, looking at how these hugely popular figures spend their fan-love capital, and examining how they leverage their fan base to effect positive changes and eventually, hopefully, a better society. More top names for the Artist Debate are due to be announced shortly.
