Croatia’s founding music festival, The Garden Festival, has become the go-to destination for global festival travellers in search of something truly special – a celebratory fusion of holiday and festival – intimate, harmonious escapism on the Adriatic coastline. Today, the event that started and inspired the now thriving Croatian festival scene, announces that 2015 will be the festival’s tenth and final edition.
The beautiful boutique odyssey has become one of the world’s most idyllic festival settings. From legendary boat parties on The Argonaughty and Arbiana across the dazzling Adriatic, to dancing under the sun and stars at the incredible water-side Beach Bar and Main Stage and witnessing the sun rise at the stunning outdoor discotheque Barbarella’s, The Garden Festival is a truly inspirational experience.
Highlights from the 2014 edition included standout performances from the likes of Theo Parrish’s Teddy’s Get Down, Prosumer, Wolf and Lamb, Soul Clap, Francois K, Craig Richards, Greg Wilson, Ben UFO and many more. The focus is now set on the momentous final year in the festival’s history. The final Garden Festival takes place from 1-8 July 2015. Early bird tickets for the festival are now on sale at www.thegardenfestival.eu.
Moving forward, The Garden Tisno festival site will continue to host an array of festivals through 2015 and beyond, attracting a diverse and eclectic crowd from all over the world. The focus will be all about further improving the site into an even better location into the future, something that the team have been keen to develop since arriving in Tisno back in 2012.
Nick Colgan, one of the Garden’s founders, explains that:
“It is true that we have decided next year will be our last ever Garden Festival. It is a decision we have thought long and hard over and do not make lightly, yet we all feel the time is right to conclude what has been an incredible adventure for everyone involved. We started in 2006 with just 300 people in Petrcane, and since then we have helped create this incredible scene in Croatia, with so many other festivals now spread across the country. It feels like we have got a bit of a legacy to leave in Tisno, and this is something which we are truly proud of; and rest assured 2015 will end with a bang as we will be creating the best Garden yet! We will then continue to put all of our efforts into managing and refining The Garden Tisno site, for the other festivals here and we hope some new events too which will be announced in due course. We will be very sad to finish, but we also know there is a very exciting future ahead too. For now we would like to thank everyone who has joined us under the sun and stars here, not just this year but at every previous festival too, to all of the amazing people from all over the world who have come to party with us and of course the brilliant DJs and live acts who have helped shaped The Garden Festival from day one. You all know who you are! More news for next year will come soon and we really hope everyone can make it, this is going to be really special. I should add that year’s event has been brilliant too – we just all need a bit of a rest now!”
